Adult Scholarship Application
The Westside Community & Youth Orchestra is offering an adult scholarship to help our members with their ongoing expenses for lessons and/or supplies (strings, rosin, reeds, anything that pertains to your WCYO instrument).
WCYO is offering adult scholarships of up to $350 to subsidize lessons and supplies that occur between September 1, 2025 and December25, 2025. The award amount paid out is calculated on a sliding scale and will be dependent on the number of applicants with a maximum possible payout of $350.00.
This is not a need-based scholarship.
Any WCYO Member is eligible to apply once per term.
All expenses must be approved in advance and are only intended for your primary instrument played with our orchestra.
All members receiving WCYO scholarship support are encouraged to continue their participation in our orchestra.
Lessons and instructors must be approved by the WCYO Board in advance.
To request scholarship funds, fill out the application, available on request or download here. Please note that our scholarship funds are limited and rely on the availability of WCYO funds.
We will reimburse after the end of the Winter term, December 31, 2025.
Please email copies of receipts for reimbursement.
Paper copies can be submitted if email is not possible,
contact us for how to submit paper copies.
Copies of checks must include front and back of canceled check.
Receipts should be submitted promptly, no later than October 25, 2025.
